What are the rates for adults and children?

Adults (including university, high school, and junior high school students): Standard Adult Rate
Elementary School Children: Free co-sleeping for up to 1 child per adult. (Charges apply starting from the 2nd child.)
Infants & Toddlers: Free co-sleeping.
Note: Rates may differ during the New Year period. Please contact us for details.
Note: Regarding co-sleeping for elementary school children, standard adult rates apply to the second child onward per adult.

Do you have extra beds?
Only our Executive Twin A and Executive Twin B rooms can accommodate up to 3 guests.
As these rooms are very popular, we recommend booking early.
Extra beds cannot be placed in other room types, so children of elementary school age or younger may stay using existing bedding (co-sleeping).
Is there a limit on how many people can stay in one room?
Yes.
Rates are per person rather than per room, so occupancy cannot exceed the maximum capacity defined for each plan. Additional charges apply if the capacity limit is exceeded.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 3:00 PM, and check-out is until 11:00 AM. For use outside these hours:
- Until 1:00 PM: An additional charge of 1,000 yen per hour per guest.
- After 1:00 PM: The full rate for 1 night’s stay per guest.
Can I check in early if I arrive before official check-in time?
Standard check-in starts at 3:00 PM. Depending on room cleaning availability, early check-in may be possible. The fee is 1,000 yen per hour per guest. Please contact us as early as possible if you wish to request early check-in.
Are there rooms with a view of the Ferris wheel?
There are approximately 3 rooms with a view of the Ferris wheel (Executive Twin and Deluxe Twin rooms on the 7th floor High-Grade Floor of Silk Inn Kagoshima). Due to high demand, early reservation is highly recommended.
Are there rooms with a view of Sakurajima?
We have rooms facing Sakurajima; however, due to the construction of high-rise apartment buildings, a full view of the mountain is no longer available.
How does elevator security work?
Our elevator security features the following:
- Card readers are installed inside the elevators.
- Touch your room card key against the reader inside the elevator.
- You will only be able to select the floor designated for your stay.
Can I send my luggage in advance?
Yes, we accept advance luggage shipments. Please write your check-in date in the blank space of the item description field on the shipping label.
Can the hotel receive courier/express delivery packages on my behalf?
Yes, absolutely. Delivery items are normally handed over at the front desk, but we can also place them in your room prior to your arrival upon request. You may also ship items purchased online directly to the hotel address.
Can I store my luggage at the hotel? Is there a fee?
Luggage storage is available free of charge. On your check-out date, we can store your luggage until the end of the day. Additional fees apply for storage beyond that day.
Is there parking available? Can I reserve a space?
We have 48 parking spaces available (11 on-site, 37 at Silk Inn No.1 Coin Parking; 800 yen per night). Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis and reservations are not accepted (except for guests with disabilities). Please contact the front desk for details.
Can microbuses or large buses park?
If arriving by microbus or large bus, please contact the front desk in advance (TEL:+81-99-258-1221).
Can motorcycles park?
Yes, motorcycle parking is available. Bicycle/motorcycle parking is generally free. However, if you park a large motorcycle or use a standard vehicle parking spot when the parking area is congested, parking fees may apply.
Are EV charging stations available?
We do not offer electric vehicle (EV) charging facilities at our hotel.
Is parking free when using the restaurant or café?
Guests using our restaurant, café, or hot spring facilities can park for free. We will issue a parking validation ticket, so please speak to a staff member nearby.
Is the hot spring water free-flowing (kakenagashi)?
Yes, it is 100% free-flowing natural hot spring water sourced from 700 meters underground. Please enjoy our high-quality natural thermal bath.
Is there a bath fee?
Complimentary for hotel guests, but a hot spring tax (bathing tax) of 150 yen per night applies to adults (ages 16 and older).
Can non-staying guests use the hot spring?
Day-use hot springs for non-overnight guests are available from 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Note: The bathing fee is waived if you book a massage course of 65 minutes or longer.
Is there an open-air bath (rotenburo)?
There is an open-air bath in the women’s hot spring section. Due to structural constraints, there is no open-air bath in the men’s section.
Is there a sauna?
We apologize, but our hotel does not have a sauna facility.
What are the bathing hours for staying guests?
Bathing hours for overnight guests are 6:00 AM – 11:00 AM (morning) and 12:00 PM – 12:00 AM (afternoon/night).
Are the male and female baths separate?
Yes, they are completely separate.
Can I wear a swimsuit in the hot spring?
No, swimsuits and underwear are not permitted in the baths.
What amenities are provided?
In accordance with the Act on Promotion of Resource Circulation for Plastics, eco-friendly amenities (except toothbrushes) are provided at the 1st floor Lobby Amenity Bar. Available items include razors, hairbrushes, hairbands, body towels, cleansing oil, face wash, lotion, and milky lotion.
Rooms on the 6th-floor women-only floor include facial sheet masks.
Multiple varieties of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided inside the 2nd-floor hot spring baths.
Are sleepwear/pajamas provided?
We provide 3/4-length room wear in your room instead of traditional pajamas. Guests are welcome to move freely around the hotel premises in room wear.
What equipment and room amenities are available?
Equipment: Hair dryer, air purifier with humidifying function, TV, mobile phone charger, desk light,
alarm clock, refrigerator, electric kettle, room extension telephone (external calls can be connected
via the front desk).
Room Items: Room wear (3/4 length), clothes hangers, shoehorn, shoe shine paper, tissues, hand sanitizer, clothes brush, flashlight, fabric freshener spray, luggage rack, glass cups, teaspoons, slippers, sanitary bags, notepad, ballpoint pen, green tea bags, stick coffee.
Ladies’ Floor Rooms additionally feature facial sheet masks and a three-way mirror.
What rental items are available?
The following items are available to borrow free of charge: Iron & ironing board, nail clippers, sewing kit, bottle opener, wine opener, shoe brush, extra blanket, room wear (sizes S, L, LL), desk lamp (limited quantity), mobile charger (Lightning, Type-C, microUSB), pillows (5 types: low memory foam, high memory foam, low polyester, low pipe+polyester, buckwheat hull pillow). Please ask at the front
desk if you would like to borrow any of these items.
Is laundry/dry cleaning service available?
Place your items in the room laundry bag and hand them to the front desk by 10:00 AM. Laundry can be picked up at the front desk after 6:00 PM.
Note: Dry cleaning services are closed on Sundays and national holidays.
Is there a coin laundry?
Yes, located on the 2nd floor hot spring floor. There are 2 washing machines and 2 dryers each in both the men’s and women’s sections. Please inquire at the 2nd floor hot spring counter or the main front desk.

Do you have meeting rooms?
We do not have meeting or conference rooms.
Is there a restaurant on-site?
Yes, a Japanese restaurant is located on the 1st floor. We also have a café inside the hotel.
Can I eat Keihan (Chicken Rice) for breakfast?
Keihan is served as part of our breakfast buffet. It is also available from 11:30 AM onward at the restaurant and the hotel café.
How far in advance can I make a reservation?
Reservations are generally accepted up to six months in advance.
What are the main transportation options?
Silk Inn Kagoshima is approximately a 5-minute walk from JR Kagoshima-Chuo Station. Please refer
to the JR timetable and Kagoshima Airport Bus timetable for details.
